Musings of a ‘golden oldie’……

You know you’re getting old when your favorite songs from high school are now officially considered “Golden Oldies” by FM97…… adding insult to injury, you also know the words to most of the other songs they’re playing!  J

This is a short but busy week for students and staff:

·         Tuesday is a Professional Development Day for all West Complex schools-- no school for students
·         On Wednesday 10th and 11th grade students will start working on the online version of their Personal Transition Plans through advisories.  It’s also the first KIF Air Riflery meet for our team; we shoot at Kapaa HS.
·         On Thursday KCC students and staff will begin their weekly visits to our junior and senior advisories and we have a Senior Parent Night at 6 pm in the band room.  Seniors, please plan to be at this very important meeting as we will be going over the Senior Agreement that evening
·         Friday is the ART team institute at Waimea Canyon MS for Mrs. Matsumura, Mrs. Barber, Mrs. Muraoka, Mrs. Rita, and Ms. Asahi.  The football team takes the field again at Vidinha Stadium against Kauai HS.  JV game starts at 5 pm with varsity to follow.
·         Saturday is the Waimea Invitational Cross Country Meet held on campus at 8:30 am.  It’s also the WAFF golf tournament at Poipu Bay and the 20th Anniversary Dinner celebration at 5:30 pm on the front lawn of the school

Teachers have worked hard to establish their online presence for parents this year.  Most are doing some sort of online grading as well as a blog.  Please reply to teacher email requests to sign up so you’re able to keep track of your student’s progress this year; mid-term progress reports will be coming out shortly.

Have a great week everyone!
