LOTS of testing going on.... AP, EOC, and SBA this week!

Advanced Placement (AP) and End of Course (EOC) exams begin this week for students; we’re also continuing to test juniors on the Smarter Balanced test.  Please be sure your child gets a good night’s sleep and eats breakfast before coming to school on testing days.

We’re in the last few weeks of school.  Summer school applications for students who need to recover a lost credit are being accepted from now until May 27th; please see your grade level counselor for an application if your student needs to make up a class  he/she failed earlier.  We will also be running a free Summer Bridge program for incoming 9th graders to help them transition successfully to high school.  Applications are at the middle school; please refer your family and friends to this program.  Also, since we are in the last few weeks of school please be sure to talk to your child about finishing the year strong – academically and by making right choices.

Have a great week everyone.

Mrs. Anguay  J

IMPORTANT: Achieve3000 – students will be prompted to take the level set test the next time they log on to their account beginning May 2.  Please advise students to take this seriously as we’re still looking at scores to complete rosters for reading/writing workshop classes for next fall; we’re looking at overall growth for this school year.  Also, we’d like our school average Lexile score to hit 1000 – we’re just under 900 right now.  According to Achieve3000 staff, our school average score hasn’t adjusted much the past few months because we need more students doing more articles each month.  Our score won’t go down; it’ll only go up after the level set.
