Testing, mid-quarter grades, summer programs, and workshop elective classes......

It's finally here.... SBAC testing begins this week for our juniors.  We're asking all students and staff to support our 11th graders over the next few weeks and to be patient and persistent through the process.

Teachers will begin inputting mid-quarter 4 grades this week.  I'm asking  teachers to submit the names of students who are in danger of not passing their class(es) this year as we need to start planning for summer credit recovery.  Last year we were able to offer this to students free of charge; this year I will have to charge $160 for a one-credit class which will be delivered on-line through e2020.  We should be sending out letters within the next few weeks to students and their parents.

Over the next two weeks, we will be meeting with students and sending letters home to parents of students who will be placed into a Reading and Writing Workshop class next school year.  They have been identified through their scores and grades as needing additional help and support to meet grade level standards.  These students will earn an elective credit for this class however, being placed in this class means they will not be taking an elective class they chose earlier.

Tuesday April 14, 2015 --- SBAC testing begins.  No Faculty meeting; time given to teachers to work on mid-qtr grades and to contact parents of students in danger of failing the semester/year.  Please send list of possible failures to counselors so we can begin to prep for summer credit recovery.
·         SBAC Performance Task Tests – Super in S103 from period 5 til end of advisory
·         5:00 pm, Boys’  VB v. Kapaa at Kapaa gym, varsity to follow, no earlier than 6:30 pm
·         6 – 8:30 pm – LRC open for students and credit recovery; math tutor available

Thursday April 16, 2015 – eSIS closes for mid quarter 4 grades!

·         Anguay on Oahu for final NPA meeting
·         4 pm, Boys  JV BB v. Kapaa @ Kapaa HS park
