We’re continuing our Performance Based
Assessments and presentations for students seeking the first-ever CTE
recognition diploma being offered by the Department of Education. This week students from Ms. Evens’ and Mr.
Souza’s classes will be presenting their research and personal reflections
about their learning before a panel of judges from the community.
This week we’re also completing our analysis of
student growth data over the year. We
will use this information to fill our 11th grade reading/writing
workshop classes as well as our math workshop classes for 9th and 10th
graders next year. These will be
elective classes that count towards graduation but will provide invaluable
support for students who need a little extra help in making strides towards
grade level proficiency. We’re also
using this data to determine which students may need summer school; counselors
will be calling in students to speak with them individually about their
options. More information regarding
summer school will be out within the next 2 weeks.
This week marks the halfway mark for quarter 4….
Please encourage your student to stay on top of each of his/her assignments and
to be in classes daily, especially seniors!
Have a great week everyone.
