Hello everyone!

This week VP Asahi and I will be going on MTV3 to talk to students about two very important and serious topics -- Chapter 19 and the new statewide Technology Acceptable Use Guidelines (TAUG) for HIDOE owned digital devices and network or internet.  I’m going to imbed the TAUG PowerPoint presentation and the actual document sent home below for you to review so everyone is clear about student and parent responsibilities.  In the packet of forms your student brought home last Friday is the TAUG – please be sure to read it very carefully and then sign and return the Agreement Form (green). Without this signed form on file, your student will not be able to use any school electronic devices or the internet.  If you have any questions about this, please contact me at school.

Weekly bulletin –
Announcements:
1.       Marilyn, Craig and I have created a schedule that should allow us to get into each classroom once a week this year—our goal.  Please hold us accountable for this!
2.       Tuesday/Wednesday: Please keep advisory students in for admin addressing Tech Policy/quiz (Tuesday) and Chapter 19 (Wednesday).  I am sharing the power points of the Tech Policy material and quiz (with answers at the end) students need to take/pass with each of you.  Please have the quiz queued up on your projector ready to go over with your students AFTER I’m done on MTV3.  They should write their responses on a full size sheet of paper; that needs to be turned in before they leave as evidence they passed.  They are allowed one wrong answer but they need to go back and make the correction on their paper.  Please hold your advisory quizzes until ALL of your students have passed the test and then submit to Mahina.
3.       Tuesday 5:30 pm – R101.  PTSA meeting.  All are encouraged to attend
4.       Anguay off campus – Monday morning, Wednesday morning, Thursday afternoon
5.       Friday: Welcome Back Assembly.  Modified afternoon assembly schedule – Liko to distribute
6.       Friday 7 pm, Hanapepe Stadium.  Preseason FB game v. Kaimuki HS…. Come out and support our team!
